Care & Cure - A Session on Gut Health and Fibroids

In association with Health Nutrition, the JITO Vizianagaram Ladies Wing successfully organized an awareness and health check-up camp titled “CARE & CURE” on 15th May 2026 at NRI Hospital, Vizianagaram. The program commenced with the recitation of the Navkar Mantra, followed by a welcome address by Chairperson Jyoti Bachhawat, who outlined the camp’s objective of promoting preventive healthcare with a focus on the principle “Prevention is Better than Cure.”  The core session was led by Dr. Bobbili Krishna Chaitanya, Consultant Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist, who delivered an insightful and interactive presentation on gut health, fibroids, and fatty liver disease. He addressed key areas including early symptoms, the importance of timely diagnosis, lifestyle modifications, dietary management, and preventive strategies. The session facilitated meaningful engagement with the attendees and was well received for its clarity and relevance.  A total of 35 women participated in the health screening. During the check-ups, several participants were diagnosed with Grade 2 and Grade 3 fatty liver and received complimentary consultations along with further medical guidance. Attendees with normal health reports were also provided with practical health tips and lifestyle recommendations to support long-term wellness.  The camp effectively highlighted the importance of awareness regarding gut health and fibroids, the value of regular health check-ups, and the role of early detection in preventing fatty liver complications. As a healthy refreshment, buttermilk was served to all participants. The initiative was widely appreciated by attendees for its informative content, direct health benefits, and its contribution to advancing women’s health and awareness in the community
