The Dhaakad Choriyaan (Women’s Cricket)Tournament, organized by JITO Vizianagaram Ladies Wing was successfully conducted on 24th January 2026 at The Vizianagaram International School, Korukonda, Vizianagaram. The event stood as a vibrant celebration of women empowerment, sportsmanship, unity, and confidence.
The tournament commenced at 7:00 AM with the chanting of the Navkar Mantra, followed by the National Anthem, setting a spiritually uplifting and patriotic tone for the day. The venue resonated with enthusiasm and positivity as participants and spectators gathered to celebrate women’s strength through sport.
A Celebration of Cricket & Confidence - Dhaakad Chriyaan evolved into a true festival of cricket, showcasing remarkable talent, determination, teamwork, and sporting spirit. Four teams, each consisting of 11 women players, participated with great energy and passion. The matches reflected not only competitive excellence but also mutual respect, encouragement, and unity among players. With over 125 attendees, the event witnessed moments of excitement, laughter, bonding, and inspiration. The tournament successfully encouraged women to step confidently onto the field, reinforcing that sports, leadership, and self-belief go hand in hand.
