JBN INDUSTRIAL VISIT!

Project Report Event – Industrial Visit Venue: Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone (AMTZ), Visakhapatnam Time: 3:30 PM Date: Monday, 6th January, 2025 Number of Participants – 21 Purpose: The primary objective of the industrial visit was to explore opportunities for doing business and to understand the facilities provided by AMTZ which is one of world’s largest medical technology manufacturing cluster with over 100 companies working on research, development and production of life saving medical devices. AMTZ is India’s premier medical technology park with Common Manufacturing Facilities & Common Scientific Facilities that include specialized laboratories, warehousing, and testing centers such as the Center for Electromagnetic Compatibility and Safety Testing, Center for Biomaterial Testing, Center for 3-D Printing, Centers for Lasers, MRI Super Conducting Magnets, Gamma Irradiation Centre, Mold & Machining Centre, and many other industrial service centers Key Highlights: 1. Facility Tour: Participants were given a guided tour of the AMTZ campus, showcasing state-of-the-art facilities and advanced technology. 2. Interaction with Experts: Industry experts shared insights on the medtech ecosystem and the role of AMTZ in supporting innovation and manufacturing. 3. Business Opportunities: Potential collaborations and investment opportunities within AMTZ were discussed, highlighting its global outreach and support for startups. 4. Networking: The event fostered interaction and collaboration among JBN members, enhancing business relationships. Takeaways: 1. Gained valuable insights into the medtech industry. 2. Explored avenues for partnerships and business expansion in the medical technology sector. 3. Understood the operational efficiency and support services provided by AMTZ. Feedback Participants appreciated the well-organized visit and the opportunity to witness the transformative initiatives undertaken by AMTZ.
